A.J. Green is coming off season ending toe surgery and is looking to have a massive year in 2019 in a new look Bengals offense. A.J. Green was fantastic in a boring and bad Marvin Lewis led offense. The sky should be the limit for him in 2019 with new head coach Zac Taylor.
Taylor wants to bring the Rams offense to Cincinnati, and we could see A.J. Green playing a very similar role to Robert Woods.
Robert Woods is Mr. Consistent. In 2018 Robert Woods finished as a wide receiver 1 or 2, 62.5% of the time. A.J. Green finished as a wide receiver 1 or 2, 66.7% of the time. These numbers are already very similar and should only remain the same or go up in this new offense.
A.J. Green is currently being drafted at the 3.08 in 12-man leagues. If you are getting him here this is an absolute steal! If you can start your team with an elite running back and wide receiver and then you add A.J. Green to your team you will be off to an incredible start!
When A.J. Green is healthy he is safe to play and is a top 10 wide receiver. Heck you could start your team with two elite running backs and then A.J. Green in the 3rd and Robert Woods in the 4th, you could arguably have the most consistent duo in fantasy football. Health is really going to be the only thing that sets A.J. Green back.
A.J. Green participated in individual drills during mini camp and should be a full go for training camp. The only other concern is his age. A.J. Green is in his final year of his current contract and will be 31 this season. A.J. Green could see some major work this year and the team empty the tank and not bring him back. They signed fellow wide receiver Tyler Boyd to a 4 year deal he is looking to become the 1 in the offense and I think this could be the final year A.J. Green is dominant. We could see what happened to Dez Bryant happen to A.J. Green.
