Week 2 Deep Sleepers to Help You Win In DFS – 2019 Fantasy Football

Week 2 kicked off Thursday with a Tampa Bay win and with a full slate on Sunday its time to discuss rankings for Week 2.

There were major surprises in Week 1 of the NFL season. From Sammy Watkins insane 49 point day to Austin Ekeler 39 point fantasy performance. This week should bring more surprises and big performances.

Gus Edwards

With the signing of Mark Ingram Edwards was the forgotten running back. Ingram is questionable this week and Edwards actually led the Ravens in carries last week. In a game where the Ravens are heavy favorites Edwards could be in line for another heavy workload especially if Ingram is out or limited.

Projection: 70 yards rushing and 1 TD

Rex Burkhead

Trying to figure out fantasy football when it comes to New England is a risky proposition. You never know from week to week who will have a good day. Burkhead is usually the last running back people discuss when it comes to the Patriots. With James White not traveling and possibly not playing this week Burkhead has a chance for 15 plus touches this week. Last week he had 8 carries for 44 yards and 5 receptions for 41 yards. He is probably the Patriots top dual threat running back. I see him having a big day this week receiving and rushing.

Projection: 80 yards rushing 60 yards receiving 1 TD

DK Metcalf

No after week Metcalf not deep as before week 1 but some people are still doubting him. Coming into last week game most of the talk was about Tyler Lockett. I have believe since training camp that Metcalf had the chance to be the best wide receiver for the Seahawks. Metcalf had been injured most of training camp so there wasn’t a lot of playing time for Metcalf. He turn 4 receptions into 89 yards and displayed his deep ball ability on a 42 yard reception from Russell Wilson. Going into this week game vs Pittsburgh it has the possibility of being a high scoring affair. Facing off vs a Steelers team that was shredded by the Patriots there should be plenty of opportunities for Metcalf in this game.

Projections: 7 receptions 80 yards

Winning each week in Fantasy and year long contest comes down to finding the diamond in the rough. Last week it was Sammy Watkins this week I think it will be one of the players that was discussed in this article.
