3 Sneaky Week 3 Fantasy Football Starts

3 Sneaky Week 3 Fantasy Football Starts

Every week there always seems to be those couple of guys who just come out of no where and if they were in your lineup, then you thrived, and if they were on your bench, you wept. To win in fantasy football you have to make the right start/sit decisions. In this article we will go through 3 players I think are sneaky starts and could help you win in week 3 of the 2019 fantasy football season.

Peyton Barber

Peyton Barber is coming off a massive game against the Carolina Panthers in week 2. From weeks 1 to week 2 Barber’s attempts went up from 8 to 23, while Ronald Jones II went from 13 to 4. Barber was given more work and he thrived with it, racking up 82 yards and a touchdown. Barber is going to have another good game this week at the Buccaneers take on the Giants. The Giants allowed Zeke to gain 111 yards and a score on 23 attempts and Frank Gore to gain 68 yards and a touchdown on 19 attempts. This defense cannot stop the run and Barber should have a field day on Sunday.

Phillip Dorsett

Phillip Dorsett is an immediate flex play in week 3, especially if you were relying on former Patriots wide receiver Antonio Brown. Week 1, when Antonio Brown did not play, Dorsett had a massive game. He caught all 4 of his targets for 95 yards and 2 touchdowns. He received the same target share that Josh Gordon got and more people will be playing Gordon. The Jets should put up more of a fight in week 3 than the Dolphins in week 2 which means Dorsett would get lost for a few big plays and a touchdown.

Hayden Hurst

This one is truly sneaky, but if you are the owner of a tight end who is injured and your are looking to your waiver wire and need a guy with touchdown upside, it’s Hurst. Hurst only has 4 targets but has caught all 4, for 42 yards and 1 touchdown. He caught a touchdown last week in a more competitive game, and playing against the Chiefs in week 3, the Ravens will have to score to stay in the game. Lamar Jackson loves throwing to the tight end and you might strike it right with a touchdown from Hurst in week 3.
