Star players to absolutely avoid this week in DFS

Every week there are risers and fallers and nothing destroys a DFS team faster than a superstar players laying an egg and giving you way below value.

We will be discussing 3 different superstars who normally you would never leave off your roster that you will be better off leaving off your DFS team this week.

Zach Ertz

One of the most reliable fantasy option at tight end for the last few years Ertz has been a fantasy darling. But with zero games over 10 fantasy points and zero games over 100 yards receiving Ertz has been lackluster at best this year. This trend will continue this week as he faces off against the NY Jets who have given up the fewest fantasy points amongst tight ends so far this year. Zach Ertz catch percentage is in the bottom 6 of qualifying tight ends and facing Jamaal Adams this week wont help this number. With Dallas Goedert back and DeSean Jackson with a chance to return this week Ertz is looking at a TD dependent game which you cant afford at his price.

Alvin Kamara

I know what you are thinking I must be crazy to put one of the best running backs in the league on this list. Looking at the numbers the team Kamara is facing Sunday the Buccaneers have been great at limiting running backs this year. They limited the number one fantasy running back in the league Christian McCaffrey to only 16 rushes for 37 yards and 2 receptions for only 16 yards and before Saquon Barkley¬†went out with an injury he had only 8 carries for 10 yards. Now don’t get me wrong the Buccaneers secondary is horrible but there defensive front line is formidable.

Amari Cooper

To most fans it seems Cooper has had an outstanding season. Coming off a great week 1 where cooper had 106 yards and a TD he was definitely trending up. But for the last 3 weeks he has had 44, 88, and 48 yards. The only saving grace has been getting in the end zone and this week he faces a Green Bay Packers team that is top five in fewest passing TDs and yards allowed. Another factor in this is how bad their run defense is they were gashed by Jordan Howard last game and with Ezekiel Elliot on the horizon the Cowboys will feed Elliot as much as possible. Also with Randall Cobb facing his former team he could have a big day for the Cowboys and limit Cooper targets. According to Pro Football Focus Cooper has a negative advantage vs Jaire Alexander the talented corner for the Packers.

Week 5 gives DFS players another shot at possible winnings and to do this you have to make the right decisions. If you follow our advice in this article you can avoid the pitfalls of high priced players that deliver low end fantasy days.
