Fantasy Football 2019: Waiver Wire Week 8 Pick up’s

TEAMS BYE: Cowboys & Ravens

Waiver Group: May be available to you (ownership above 50%)

QB: MIN Kirk Cousins (50%), DET Matthew Stafford (51%): If you are looking for a great bye week fill QB then look towards these players they are great starts over the next month.

RB: NO Latavius Murray (75%): As long as Kamara is out you need to roster Murray, he was incredible in his first game as the featured back, and this will only continue.

WR: JAX DeDe Westbrook (71%), GB Marquez Valdes-Scantling(70%): MVS had a big game with Adams out. He should be able to find success with Rodgers as his QB. Since week 3 Westbrook has been a top 20 WR in fantasy. Needs to be rostered.

TE:  LAR Gerald Everett (65%) Everett has been TE 4 since week 3 if you need a TE Everett is continuing to be involved.

Waiver Group: Should be available to you (ownership under 50%)

IND Jacob Brissett (48%) – If you didn’t watch the Colts vs Houston on Sunday well you need to go back and watch it. Brissett is rising in fantasy after another fantastic performance. He has the team leading the division and dropped another 20 point fantasy points. Brissett has at least 2 touchdown passes in 5 of the 6 games played this season. If you are looking for a long term fantasy starter or even a bye week filler then Brissett is your player!

NYJ Sam Donald (25%) – Even after a horrible performance Monday night vs the Patriots, Donald is still a solid pick up since his schedule will get much easier over the next few weeks. He has the best playoff match-up in fantasy for QBs. After tonight’s performance, owners may be hesitant to pick him up now but it’s a perfect time.

Other Group of QBs:  ATL Matt Schaub (0%), KC Matt Moore (0%), TEN Ryan Tannehill (3%), PIT Mason Rudolph

Schaub would lead a talented offense with a very bad defense if Matt Ryan is hurt. Moore becomes the starter for talented Chiefs for a few weeks, has streamer appeal. Tannehill was able to put up solid numbers in week 7 and is streamer for week 8 vs the Bucs.  Rudolph should be back from injury to very bad Dolphins Defense.

Running Backs

ARI Chase Edmonds (30%) – Edmonds broke out on Sunday as he went off for 126 yards and 3 touchdowns. He carried the workload and showed his talent on the offense. Most of the success was due to David Johnson playing only 3 snaps but if Johnson injury continues to linger than Edmonds will have more opportunity. If anything then Edmonds has earned himself more playing time.

MIA Mark Walton (12%) – Walton has finally caught our eyes in fantasy. After back to back decent games, Walton broke out for 66 against a strong Bills Defense. With Kenyon Drake on the trade rumors and the team not trusting Kalen Ballage. Walton has a big opportunity to take the workload for this poor Dolphins team. If you are desperate for a RB then look towards Walton’s way.

DET TY Johnson (0%) – If Kerryon Johnson injury is worse than it is then TY Johnson would have the starting role. Early reports are that he is week to week with a knee injury. If you are a Kerryon Johnson owner, or in need a running back then make in a top priority going into week 8 as he will go up against the Giants. TY Johnson could be a week 8 winner if he is giving the starting gig.

Other Group of RBs: LAR Darrell Henderson (30%), MIN Alex Mattison (22%), DAL Tony Pollard (16%), PIT Benny Snell

Henderson had 11 carries in week 7 if Brown is continues to be sidelined then Henderson will have a role in this offense. Mattison didn’t have much success in week 7 but he continues to be the best back-up in the game. Pollard solid back up to Zeke. Snell still back ups Connor and has value in this offense vs the Dolphins.

Wide Receivers

TEN Corey Davis (43%) – Davis has been waiting for a change in the Titans offense for sometime now. New Starting QB Ryan Tannehill brought a spark to the offense and Davis excelled. He had 6 receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown in week 7. With the Bucs coming into town and easier matchups on the horizon, Davis should be able to take full advantage of them. If Davis is gone look towards AJ Brown too to make some noise.

PIT Dointae Johnson(14%) –  Johnson has been a forgotten player over the last few weeks. During weeks 3 and 4, Johnson was a rising player in fantasy football after being named the starter for the season. Once Mason Rudolph went down, the passing game fell apart for the Steelers. Fresh off a bye week, Rudolph is expected to be back and the Steelers are playing the Dolphins in week 8. This is the time to pick him up while he his value is low.

Other Group of Wrs: MIA Preston Williams (10%), MIA Devante Parker (11%), CIN Alex Erickson (1%), GB Geronimo Allison (27%), HOU Kenny Stills (14%), TEN AJ Brown (13%), CHI Anthony Miller (13%), SEA Jaron Brown (2%), BUF Cole Beasley (27%), IND Zach Pascal (0%), NE K’neal Harry (10%)

Williams & Parker have bye week value with Fitzpatrick at QB. Erickson had a team high 14 receptions with AJ Green continuing to be out then he could have value in deeper leagues. Allison is attached to Rodgers. Fuller’s injury, Stills could have great value in this offense. AJ Brown could have another great game vs the Bucs in week 8. Anthony Miller’s target are increase each week, could finally have a role. Jaron Brown is stepping up to replace Dissly targets. Beasley has favorable match-up vs the Eagles. Johnson could remerge with Rudolph back against a bad Dolphin’s defense. Harry will be back in week 9 better get him now.

Tight Ends

MIN Kyle Rudolph (23%) – Finally some production to the newly extended TE Rudolph. Rudolph could be in an expanded this week with Adam Thielen out on Thursday.  He had his best game of the year with 58 yards and a touchdown. If you need a good fill in bye week TE then go grab Rudolph.

Other Group of TE: IND Eric Ebron (46%) TEN Jonu Smith NO Josh Hill (0%) MIN Irv Smith (1%), PHI Dallas Goedert (12%)

Ebron a serviceable TE. Jonu Smith & Josh Hill both could show value as fill ins for their injured veteran teammates.  Irv Smith finally produce and with his upside and Thielen missing some possible time then he could have good value. Goedert value has increased over recent weeks of production.
