Fantasy Football 2019: Waiver Wire Week 9 Pick up’s

Fantasy Football 2019: Waiver Wire Week 9 Pick up’s

TEAMS BYE: Atlanta, Cincinnati, LAR , Saints

Waiver Group: May be available to you (ownership above 50%)

QB: MIN Kirk Cousins, JAX Gardner Minshew, DET Matthew Stafford, BUF Josh Allen

RB: ARI Kenyan Drake, PHI Miles Sanders, CLE Kareem Hunt, GB Jamaal Williams

WR: NE Mohamed Sanu, SEA DK Metcalf, OAK Tyrell Williams, TEN Corey Davis (Caution), Car Curtis Samuel

TE: GB Jimmy Graham, CAR Greg Olsen

Waiver Group: Should be available to you (ownership under 50%)

Quarterbacks

There are no QB’s under 50% that are a must pick up. Those mentioned below are good recommendations

https://nypost.com/2019/08/20/jimmy-garoppolos-preseason-debut-was-a-complete-disaster/

Other Group of QBs:  SF Jimmy G (45%), NYJ Sam Donald (18%),KC Matt Moore (7%), CHI Mitch Trubisky(25%)

Garoppolo gets a good match against the Cardinals but with their dominant defense and heavy run scheme, He could be limited.  Donald gets a good match against the Dolphins but the dysfunction of the team limits him. Moore could be an okay match up pending on Mahomes playing in week 9. Mitch Trubisky gets banged up eagles secondary but it’s hard to trust Mitch.

Running Backs

MIA Mark Walton (14%) – Walton is the biggest winner of the Kenyan Drake trade. Walton snap count has been going up each week and after week 7, he had his best day as a Dolphins. He clearly has the advantage over Ballage and should continue to see majority of the carries. Even in the bad offense, opportunity talks when it comes to fantasy.

https://redskinswire.usatoday.com/2019/10/28/derrius-guice-is-set-to-return-to-the-field-in-week-11-against-the-jets/

WAS Derrius Guice (29%)Derrius Guice is back at practice and should be back on the field soon. The time to get him is now especially with the Redskins’ run heavy scheme. Even with AP involved I think Guice could do enough to get flex appeal each week once he comes back. Better to scoop him up now before everyone jumps on him.

Other Group of RBs: LAR Darrel Henderson (25%), MIN Alexander Mattison (16%), DET Tre Carson (0%), DAL Tony Pollard (13%), JAX Ryquell Armstead (2%), PIT Jaylen Samuels (16%), MIA Kalen Ballage (7%)

Henderson will continue to see work behind Gurley with Malcolm Brown out. Mattison is still one of the best handcuffs in the game right now & a solid flex option in deeper leagues. Tre Carson got the start in week 8 and led in carries but the Detroit’s running backs are turning into a huge RBBC with no efficiency. Pollard & Armstead handcuffs. Jaylen Samuel is worth that handcuff spot as he does get involved in the offense.  Ballage is the goal line back for Miami.

Wide Receivers

https://www.cincyjungle.com/2019/10/27/20932858/alex-erickson-contract-bengals-espn-news

CIN Alex Erickson (5%) – Over the last three weeks, Erickson has had at least 6 targets each game.  He had produced 18 receptions for 282 yards in that time-frame. He seems to have Dalton’s trust in the offense and he plays a role with AJ Green still out. As long as the Bengals are continuing to behind in games then Erickson opportunity will thrive. He is a great bye week fill in and worth a roster spot with his recent performances.  He would be easy to grab with him on a bye week.

PIT Diontae Johnson (12%) – Johnson has been a forgotten fact in fantasy after going off in weeks three and four. In those two games, he produced 11 receptions 129 yards and two touchdowns. Things faded with Mason Rudolph got injured and a bye week but Rudolph is now back. After Monday night, Johnson should be back on everyone’s radar.

Other Group of WRs: JAX Chris Conley (5%), CHI Anthony Miller (12%), TEN AJ Brown (20%), SF Deebo Samuel (11%), KC Mecole Hardman (32%), NE N’Keal Harry (11%), MIA Preston Williams (11%) and Devante Parker (16%)

Tight Ends

https://torotimes.com/2019/10/07/darren-fells-offseason-signing-paying-off-for-the-houston-texans/

HOU Darren Fells (15%) – If you are in need of a tight end or someone is under performing like Ertz than go get yourself Fells. Since week 3 he has been the third best tight end in terms of fantasy points on the season.  He has 5 touchdowns on the year. He is having the Eric Ebron type of year right now and you remember how his season turned out. Fells needs to be owned in more leagues as consistent tight ends are hard to find.

Other Group of TE: Ten Jonnu Smith (10%), Phi Dallas Goedert (22%), Dal Jason Witten (49%), Min Kyle Rudolph (36%), TB OJ Howard (46%)

Jonnu Smith has had back to back 60 yard games, starting to gain chemistry with Tannehill. Goedert has been more effective than Ertz over the last three weeks.  Witten gets another good matchup against the Giants, that he usually produces. Rudolph has a role as long as Thielen is out. Howard could be traded so he could return value(aka the Patriots maybe?)

Deeper League

ATL Brian Hill

PHI Boston Scott

OAK Derek Carr

ATL Russell Gage

LAR Josh Reynolds

DET Danny Amendola

BAL Miles Boykins

NYJ Demaryius Thomas

NYG Darius Slayton

Many I mentioned above. In deeper leagues, look towards handcuffs as an injury could happen at any time. Listen to the TimeSkew Podcast for even more players!
