Who to Start/Sit in Redskins vs Packers

Last week in the snow Aaron Rodgers and the Packers were able to do whatever they wanted on offense through the air. Rodgers had 4 TDs, 2 to Davante Adams, 1 to Allen Lazard and 1 to Mercedes Lewis (his first of the season). The one thing the Packers did not do well was with running the football. Aaron Jones had 18 yards and Jamaal Williams had 41 yards. That’s fine because they were playing a two win team but if they want to beat an elite team like the 49ers, Saints, or Seahawks they will need to be better.

This week’s matchup is against a Redskin team that is coming off a surprising win against Carolina and is on a two game win streak. Derrius Guice led them to the victory and has been producing quite nicely since he’s been back from injury. He could cause some trouble for the Green Bay defense. Rookie QB Dwayne Haskins is going through the ups and downs of being a rookie but overall has been decent. You probably remember him from taking a selfie with a fan before the game against Detroit was over. A very funny moment but unprofessional.

The Packers air attack on offense will likely be similar to last week. They will be able to do as they please once again. The Packers will likely try to get the run game going as well. The Packers should win this game but should not over look this Redskin team. They need to have that one week at a time mentality and not look ahead to the Chicago and Minnesota matchups.

Fantasy Outlook

Packers: QB Aaron Rodgers, RB Aaron Jones, WR Davante Adams, Packers D/ST

Redskins: RB Derrius Guice

Packers: TE Jimmy Graham, WR Marquez Valdez-Scantling, WR Geronimo Allison

Redskins: QB Dwayne Haskins, WR Terry Mclaurin

Surprise Performances

Packers: WR Allen Lazard, he’s a good route runner and knows how to get open when Rodgers extends the play

Redskins: RB Adrian Peterson, throughout his career AP has gashed the Packers. He’s not the same RB he used to be but he’s still capable of running the football effectively.
