NHL Betting Preview, Weds. 26th 2020

Buffalo Sabers @ Colorado Avalanche– Buffalo is definitely the underdog in this one going up against the MacKinnon led Avalanche. Buffalo is currently running not far ahead of .500. On the other hand the Avalanche are on fire with average 3.46 GPG and continuing to keep the puck out of their net. The Sabers are hot right now winning 4-1 in the last five but struggled in the game against the Senators which raised some concerns on defense letting 7 goals go. The Avalanch have won 3-2 in last 5, losing to a strong Tampa Bay and the Kings.

The Bet: I will have to side with the Avalanche in this match-up but i would stay away from the Puck Line. Over/Under will be set around 5.5 and i would be looking to take the over.

Edmonton Oilers @ Vegas Golden Knights– The Vegas Knights are are flying high recently, going 5-0 in their last 5 games. The Oilers fell off for a couple games because of the McDavid injury, but have gotten back on track in the last 2 games. They are 3-2 in the last 5. Both teams are averaging around 3.18 GPG and 3.04 GAPG. It is tough to see an underdog here but i would look at the Knights as the favorite because they are the home team,

The Bet: The Knights might have the at home edge her but I would have to look for the value in the +1.5PuckLine for the Oilers and even perhaps the MoneyLine for Edmonton.

Pittsburgh Penguins @ LA Kings– The Penguins are the clear favorite in this one with a 37-18 record but have been put up to tough teams in the last 3. The Kings have had some struggles on defense with a record of 22-35-6 but have played around .500 at home. Pittsburgh can score and they protect the puck well, just need to get the upper hand early. The Kings will need the defense and goal tending to stand up big if they want to win this 1.

The Bet: I will be taking the Over and Pittsburgh Moneyline in this one. I will trust the goal scoring ability of the Penguins before i can take the chance on the poor defending of the Kings.
