The 2020 NFL schedule was released just over a month ago, which was very surprising despite the Coronavirus outbreak. This move by the NFL not only gives hope to the people but it gives hope to every other league in the United States. In recent weeks, many Governor’s have given clearance for Professional sports to return. With all of the recent news breaking, the NFL is still looking forward to having a normal season with fans in attendance. It is still unclear whether or not any of what the league is saying will happen, but we can still look forward to 10 must-watch games coming up in 2020.
1. Chiefs at Ravens (Week 3)
This game being at the top of the list was a no brainer. Both organizations have two phenomenal transcendent talents leading the way. Those two players are Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson. Mahomes Vs Jackson is must-watch television and if you tell me otherwise, well there has to be something wrong with you. On the other hand, both teams were expected to clash in the AFC Championship game, but the Titans crashed the Ravens party. So when the 2020 NFL season kicks off, we will only have to wait three weeks to see the reigning Super Bowl champs versus the reigning MVP. It should be a fun one, let’s just say that!
2. Chiefs at Bucs (Week 12)
Tom Brady is now a Tampa Bay Buccaneer, which is weird. After he threw his last pass as a New England Patriot, which happened to be an interception, he would call it a career as a Patriot. Which means there is a new King in the AFC. And that King is Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. This matchup is already one of the most anticipated games of the 2020 season, because of how high powered both offenses are. Both the Chiefs and Bucs wide receiving cores are loaded with the likes of Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins, Travis Kelce, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Rob Gronkowski. I expect both Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes to put up monster numbers and nothing less. This game will be one for the ages.
3. Bucs at Saints (Week 1)
History will be made on Sunday night football when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers march into New Orleans. It will be the first matchup between two 40-year-old plus starting quarterbacks. Tom Brady and Drew Brees are the two old sports that are set to make history. The two have a history dating back to their days in the Big 10, where Tom Brady defeated Drew Brees. Oh, and yea, both quarterbacks are at the top of the All-Time Passing chart. Which just gives this matchup even more fire to it. But this will be one of two matchups between Brady and Brees and I have a feeling that the second meeting will have playoff implications.
4. Titans at Ravens (Week 11)
Coming in at number four spot is the Tennessee Titans versus the Baltimore Ravens. This is a rematch of last year’s divisional round, where the Titans upset the Ravens, 28-12. Tennessee shocked the world when they did the unthinkable. Derrick Henry was too much for the Ravens defense, but I have a feeling that Lamar Jackson and crew are ready to get revenge. All in all, this matchup is going to be interesting.
5. Chiefs at Saints (Week 15)
Patrick Mahomes in a dome versus Drew Brees? I’ll take that with a cold beer every Sunday! This matchup has promising expectations. It’ll be the first time Mahomes faces off against Drew Brees. Which is very exciting because both quarterbacks are gun slinger’s! And when two gunslingers matchup against one another, there tends to be an old fashion shootout! I expect the Chiefs and the Saints to put on a show!
6. 49ers at Cowboys (Week 15)
San Francisco traveling to Jerry World? You can’t tell me that doesn’t excite you! This is an all-time classic matchup, between two historic franchises that just so happen to be contenders. And with the 49ers coming off a Super Bowl loss, you can expect the Niners to be at the top of their game. As for the Cowboys, well let’s just say things are complicated. But none the less, the Cowboys have one of the best teams on paper. With both teams being as good as they are, this game should be a great one.
7. Packers at Bucs (Week 6)
Tom Brady Vs Aaron Rodgers is and always will be an amazing matchup. The two quarterbacks are arguably the best to ever play the position. And with Brady joining the NFC, that means the Bucs and the Packers could potentially clash in the NFC Championship game. But we get to see the two living legends go at it in week 6! The matchup will sure be a dandy!
8. 49ers at Saints (Week 10)
This should have been the NFC Championship last season, but the Vikings went into New Orleans and upset the Saints. But the Saints and the 49ers did have a shootout in last year’s regular-season matchup. So, I expect much of the same to happen in their week 10 matchup.
9. Packers at Saints (Week 3)
Another great quarterback duel! Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees will go at it in week 3, and let me tell you, I cannot wait! It seems that Drew Brees is going to be battling the best quarterbacks in the league next season, which will be tough for the Saints, but great for the NFL.
10. Bengals at Dolphins (Week 13)
The number one overall pick, Joe Burrow will face off against the 5th overall pick Tua Tagovailoa come week 13! Both quarterbacks are very talented and both are going to want to one-up one another in that ballgame. By the time week 13 comes around, both will be ready to show why they are two of the best young quarterbacks in the league.
