Week five is upon us and its time to gamble. Let’s make some bets. All odds are from the DraftKings Sportsbook.
Season record: 10-5
Eagles/Steelers over 44.5
To start off this week’s bets we are taking the over in this battle for Philly. Carson Wentz showed some signs of life last Sunday night. The Eagles pulled off their first victory of the year while also taking the lead of their division. The Steelers are coming off a surprise bye week. Their defense is one of the best in the league, but 45 points is not that many. The Steelers will score at least 20-25 points against the Eagles defense. The Eagles will then have plenty of garbage time to cover the over.
Jaguars team total over 23.5
Gardner Minshew has been carrying this terrible team on his back for the first four games of the season. With high tier weapons like DJ Chark and Laviska Shenault, the Jaguars are more than capable of getting in a shootout. Whether they keep it close against the new and improved Bill O’ Brien-less Texans, or get blown out and need to catch up in garbage time, there is a great chance they surpass 24 points against a Texans defense allowing an average of 31.5 points per game.
Rams/Football Team over 46.5
The Rams are a heavy favorite against the putrid Football Team in this matchup. With the offense humming along like a well-oiled machine, we know the Rams will put up points. On the other hand, the Football Team is transitioning to a new quarterback on Sunday. Kyle Allen will be taking over for Dwayne Haskins in a system he is familiar with. Allen started off hot in Carolina last year, and there is a good chance he can replicate that in the same system for the Football Team.

Falcons/Panthers over 53.5
Both of these teams have some of the worst defenses in the NFL. Coincidentally, both teams also have high scoring offenses. That is the perfect recipe for a high scoring game in the NFL. With playmakers like Calvin Ridley, Hayden Hurst, Robby Anderson, and DJ Moore, the point total is bound to be high. To add to that, this is a divisional matchup. Expect the points to fly in this matchup.
Vikings/Seahawks over 57
Russell Wilson has been firing on all cylinders this year. He and the Seahawks offense have an insanely favorable matchup against the Vikings defense. The Vikings defense has been nothing short of terrible so far this year. They are giving up over 31 points per game through the first four weeks, and have arguably their toughest matchup yet. Similarly, the Seahawks defense is giving up an average of 408 passing yards to opposing quarterbacks this year. Expect big games from the electrifying receivers on both teams.
Low Risk High Reward Parlay
This Week’s odds: +482
Going with only three bets in the parlay this week, we really just need the Chargers to pull off the upset against New Orleans on Monday Night Football. The other two money lines in this parlay are pretty likely picks. The Chiefs are not losing to the banged-up Raiders, and the Rams are playing the Football Team.
