Quarterback Free Agency Predictions: Drew Brees, Teddy Bridgewater & Philip Rivers

The 2020 season only has one game left, The Super Bowl, which means that the off-season is quickly approaching. Teams will be getting ready for the Draft in April, making changes to the coaching staff/ team management, and working on their rosters for the 2020 regular season. Right now, one of the biggest challenges facing teams is how to deal with their free-agent players. Normally there are a few big names that enter the free agency, especially at QB, but this year there seem to be quite a few QBs on in the market.

Patriots Joejuan Williams Arrested

The Patriots looked to give their talented secondary some depth in the 2019 draft by selecting Joejuan Williams with their second-round pick. The Patriots liked the skill set and ability that Williams has enough that they traded up to get him in the draft. He has the size and athletic profile that the Patriots like to use in their secondary, but due to being so deep at the position he did not get on the field often this season. HE only played in 9 games this season and was only able to get 4 solo tackles, 1 assist, and 1 pass defense during the season. There was development during the season and the team was looking forward to what he would be able to add heading into the 2020 season.

What the Hiring of Browns Head Coach Kevin Stefanski Means for Fantasy Football in 2020

The Browns have decided on their next head coach by hiring Kevin Stefanski. Stefanski was the offensive coordinator for the Vikings this year and had been with the Vikings coaching staff since 2006. In his time there he had been an assistant, TE coach, RB coach, QB Coach, and offensive coordinator. He helped the Vikings improve their offense from 2018 in 2019 and had his offense as the 6th best rushing offense in the league. With the Vikings Stefanski ran a zone-blocking scheme that took the strengths of the line and helped them to get better as the season went along. It also helped that the Vikings had Dalvin Cook running the ball for them. Now that Stefanski has moved to the Browns it will be interesting to see what they will look like in 2020.

NFL Conference Championship DFS Start/Sit

Well its finally time to crown conference champions this weekend and see who the final two teams will be. It’s always exciting to see who shows up in the playoffs whether as a surprise team or a team with a bye that continues to play strong. Both games this weekend should be exciting as both have the line at about a touchdown for the home teams. This means that the scores could stay close. There is also the added appeal that both games are going to be repeats of previous meetings from the season. So, if the games were not important enough there is also the added sense of revenge for both the Chiefs and the Packers heading into these vital games. The matchups are exciting especially when you look at DFS plays for this weekend.

Mike McCarthy to Dallas & The Fantasy Football Implication

After ten seasons in Dallas, Jason Garrett has been relieved of the head coaching job for the Cowboys. The cowboys have a loaded roster and they just have not been playing up to their potential in the eyes of their owner Jerry Jones. It was a strange shift into the offseason for the Cowboys as they did not immediately remove Garrett from his position publicly until they had already begun to interview for the head coaching position. After a short search, it appears that the Cowboys found their new head coach in Mike McCarthy.

Ron Rivera Hired by the Washington Redskins & the Fantasy Football Implications

After a 0-5 start, this season the Redskins and Jay Gruden parted ways. This was no surprise after Gruden even talked about having to win the division to keep his role with the team. The Redskins have struggled to perform up to expectations under Gruden and the talent that was on their roster never seemed to explode into a great success. The Redskins have also relieved Bruce Allen their president from his current role. These are both signs that the Redskins are trying to change the current trend. Over the last half of the season, the Redskins started to look like an improved team and that some of their young talents were ready to impress. Looking into 2020 what could these changes mean for the organization and the fantasy value of the players there?

Week 17 Start/Sit

The final week of the NFL regular season is upon us. Heading into the final games there are still a ton of teams playing to make the playoffs or to get a higher seed. Luckily this means that most teams won’t have the luxury of sitting their starters this week. There should still be some very good games this week, and along with that some good performances.

Fantasy Defenses to add for the Playoffs

The 49ers and Patriots have been playing at an elite level this year and are two of the best defenses in fantasy, but not everyone can have an elite defense on their team. Heading into the playoffs having a good DST could be the difference in making it past your opponent. As teams continue to fight for playoff contention there have been some DST that are coming on strong, and the schedule for some of the better DST’s in the first have of the year are getting tougher as the season goes on. So, who should you pick up to get you over the top in the playoffs?
