“We had a goal going into this game. We thought the team that got over 30 runs would win this game…”
The Tennessee Titans are headed to the AFC Championship game for the first time since 2002. Tennessee shocked the NFL world on Saturday night by rumbling over the top seeded Baltimore Ravens 28-12. And it all started with Derrick Henry wearing down the Ravens defense during the course of the game. He imposed his will by rushing for 195 yards on 30 touches and added a jumping TD pass.
Momentum has been one of the major headliners for the Texans 2019-2020 season. The Texans carried theirs over from the 4th quarter and overtime of the wild card round and into a perfect 1st quarter of football in Arrowhead. Houston struck first, and fast. Deshaun Watson hit Kenny Stills on a 54 yard score, followed up by a few defensive stops, a blocked punt returned for a TD, and a muffed punt recovery that set the Texans up for another score. Then, just as quickly as it had come, the momentum had gone. The Chiefs had stolen it away early in the 2nd quarter.

This past Sunday the Chiefs pulled off something incredible and mounted a comeback for the ages , but not before it got ugly. The Texans were up 21-0 with 11:46 left in the second and Deshaun Watson had the football in Chiefs territory. The game had gotten ugly FAST, the chiefs needed life. Then after a 8 yard completion , the Texans faced a 4th and 1 on the chiefs 12 yard line. Watson led his offense to the line of scrimmage, ready to attempt a conversion. Texans Head Coach Bill o Brian called a timeout and proceeded to bring his special teams unit onto the field and settle for a field goal. The Texans did extended their lead to 24-0, but the defense ultimately got the stop and held Watson to just 3 instead of seven.
The Chiefs got to sit out the wildcard round of the playoffs and gear up for the divisional round. While watching the games from last weekend, the Chiefs found out that they were going to play the Houston Texans after an exciting game against the Buffalo Bills in Houston.

What a game the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints put on for us last Sunday. The Vikings played like I haven’t seen in a long time. It seemed like all the stars had finally aligned for Minnesota and they took advantage of it. Yes, they made a few mistakes, but in the long run, they made more winning plays then not, and that is why Minnesota came out on top in the 26-20 Win in overtime.

What is often regarded as the best football weekend, the Divisional Round of the playoffs is here, and it is shaping up to live up to that moniker. Including a few matchups we don’t get a chance to see very often. One of those being in the NFC, between the San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings. A matchup between two teams who are built strikingly similar but have followed different paths along the season. Today I’m going to preview a few of the matchups in this divisional round game, a long with some keys to victory for San Francisco
The Philadelphia Eagles made it to the playoff finish held together by scotch tape. However their playoff hopes ended with a Carson Wentz concussion and the 40 year old Josh McCown doing his best but still on a losing end to the Seahawks 17-9. Even with the injuries they have building blocks with Wentz, Sanders, Goedert, Dillard and steady vets such as Brooks, Johnson, Cox, Graham and Jenkins if a deal is finalized. With a long offseason ahead for Howie Roseman, he needs to make some tough decisions and try to reload for another playoff push next season. Here are my thoughts on the 16 free agents for the Eagles and whether they should stay or they should go.

After ten seasons in Dallas, Jason Garrett has been relieved of the head coaching job for the Cowboys. The cowboys have a loaded roster and they just have not been playing up to their potential in the eyes of their owner Jerry Jones. It was a strange shift into the offseason for the Cowboys as they did not immediately remove Garrett from his position publicly until they had already begun to interview for the head coaching position. After a short search, it appears that the Cowboys found their new head coach in Mike McCarthy.

Watson and company take the show on the road to Arrowhead where they will attempt to abracadabra the Kansas City Chiefs out of the second act of the postseason. It will also be the second time the Texans travel to Arrowhead this season, the first being a 31 to 24 victory for Houston back in Week 6.
