Can Former XFL MVP P.J. Walker be The QB1 in Carolina?

Well, it did not take long for the inevitable to happen. P.J. Walker, an XFL future Hall-of-Famer no doubt, has been signed by the NFL’s Carolina Panthers. The XFL’s MVP led the league Champion Houston Roughnecks to a perfect 5-0 start before the inaugural season was cut short by the COVID-19 virus. That didn’t stop the Panthers’ front office from signing the 25-year-old to pair him up with his former Temple coach in Matt Rhule.

A very Bengals Series of Events: Free Agency and NFL Draft theory

I truly believe that this sport is like no other, and part of why I love it so much is connecting with other people about the NFL; college ball; the draft; what strategies their team might go for in the coming year; what we think about certain players and their trajectories and any other related topics that cross our minds. Why Gardner Minshew is a Good Start in Week 5

Minshew Mania has swept the league by storm. Gardner Minshew has already been compared as the next Tom Brady. While that may be a stretch, there is a lot to like about the rookie with his improving numbers and win’s week by week. But with a 2-2 record and trailing in 3 of 4 games, there may be some reason to call this a “over reaction.” I’m here to tell you that there may be no reason to hop off the Minshew train just yet, at least this week.

Is It Time to Drop Cam Newton?

Once a fantasy superstar and all around offensive juggernaut, Cam Newton has so far disappointed. With Christian McCaffery’s surge to become the Panthers number one play-maker, the Carolina offense has had to rely less on Cam. Now, you would think with reduced pressure, Cam would be able to get more comfortable and consistent. Right? Wrong. Cam has looked sluggish, lazy and simply not like that MVP level Quarterback we once knew. Which for fantasy owners, is a big red flag. With rumors swirling about this possibly being Cam’s final season either for the Panthers or in the NFL as a whole, will he overcome adversity and help lead your team to a championship? Or will he continue to crumble as he proves that more than kryptonite can kill superman.
