A very Bengals Series of Events: Free Agency and NFL Draft theory

I truly believe that this sport is like no other, and part of why I love it so much is connecting with other people about the NFL; college ball; the draft; what strategies their team might go for in the coming year; what we think about certain players and their trajectories and any other related topics that cross our minds. Basically, I love talking about the game.

49ers Advance to the Super Bowl: “Feels Great, Baby”

An offhand comment from Jimmy Garoppolo to Fox’s Erin Andrews on Halloween after an 8-0 start to the season became a rallying cry for both fans and some teammates. Naturally, 100 different companies have slapped the phrase on any piece of merch they have that can fit the 3-word catch phrase (spoiler, it’s a lot of merch). Despite everyone trying to make a buck off of it, the statement really sums up how 49ers players and fans feel about this season. It feels great to win the NFC. It feels great to have another shot at winning the Super Bowl. It feels great to have a team to be proud of, not just on the field but also how they mesh off the field and support each other. It’s wild looking back at the preseason and remembering the vibe around some corners of 49ers twitter. I saw a surprising number of people saying San Francisco should fire both HC Kyle Shanahan and GM John Lynch (2019 PFWA Executive of the Year). This is what a rebuild done right looks like. I’m excited for the Super Bowl and I’m also excited for the team’s future.

NFL Conference Championship DFS Start/Sit

Well its finally time to crown conference champions this weekend and see who the final two teams will be. It’s always exciting to see who shows up in the playoffs whether as a surprise team or a team with a bye that continues to play strong. Both games this weekend should be exciting as both have the line at about a touchdown for the home teams. This means that the scores could stay close. There is also the added appeal that both games are going to be repeats of previous meetings from the season. So, if the games were not important enough there is also the added sense of revenge for both the Chiefs and the Packers heading into these vital games. The matchups are exciting especially when you look at DFS plays for this weekend.

Packers Play the Waiting Game

After narrowly escaping the Detroit Lions with a win in Week 17 the Packers earned themselves a bye for the first week of the playoffs. It was an ugly victory but the Packers did what they needed to do and in the end Mason Crosby came through with a time expiring field goal.

Packers vs Lions Week 17 Preview: What the Packers Need to do to Lock up a First Round Bye

Green Bay finishes out their season going into Detroit to take on the Lions. The Lions have been struggling with David Blough at QB. They have been bit by the injury bug this season. First losing Kerryon Johnson (he’s back now), then Matthew Stafford, TJ Hockenson, and Marvin Jones. It’s tough to win when you lose all those important pieces throughout the season.

Packers vs Vikings Preview: The Game that Could Make or Break your Fantasy Championship

The Green Bay Packers clinched a playoff spot last week after their win against Chicago. Now they travel to Minneapolis to take on the Minnesota Vikings in a crucial divisional matchup. This is the biggest game of season for each team. If the Packers win they lock up the NFC North Division. The Vikings are undefeated at home this season (6-0). They feed off the energy from the home crowd and Kirk Cousins has been playing at the highest level in his career.
