It’s been a rocky road this last week. From losing March Madness, to the NBA, and then all spring sports, and then all sports in general. We are spiraling, but we can count on the NFL to give us something, a little nibble to keep us at bay.
Case Keenum, who spent last season with the Redskins, is familiar with coach Kevin Stefanski, as Stefanski was Keenum’s quarterbacks’ coach in Minnesota during the Vikings playoff run, where Keenum was playing well.
The 25-year-old was drafted by the Titans in the 2016 NFL Draft 8th overall. So far in his career, Conklin has only registered 21 total penalties, which was a major issue for the Browns last season.
The NFL’s free agency period begins March 18 and tons of eyes will be turned on the NFL’s off-season proceedings in these unprecedented times due to coronavirus. Additionally, the New York Giants now have $77.8 million in cap space. With Big Blue set to be big spenders this year, combined with the history that their most recent successes this century have come from big signings in free agency in 2007, 2011 and 2016, let’s take a look at some candidates who could be on the squad in 2020.
What a day! In today’s episode Mike, Pride, and Q discuss all the free agency news and notes. They discuss all the signings, all the franchise tagging, and all the trades! We then give an analysis of these moves and what it means for fantasy football. We discuss the massive DeAndre Hopkins trade as well we give the ramifications of the new CBA voted by the players.
The Cleveland Browns placed a 2nd Round Tender on Kareem Hunt to keep him in Cleveland. Hunt has had 179 Rushing yards and 285 Receiving yards in 8 games with Cleveland last season, as well as leading the league in rushing in his rookie campaign with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Cleveland Browns wasted no time to begin this offseason, with their first move to bring in former Falcons tight end Austin Hooper. The 25-year-old is reported to be the new highest paid Tight End in NFL History.
In order to truly contend this year, the Lions need to draft as many impact players they can get their hands on. This means punting on potential developmental players that may have higher upside for the organization in the long run in order to acquire playmakers that can fill out the rest of the holes on the team. This is a deep-dive mock draft that gives the Lions their best shot at winning (in our opinion).
Track 2020 NFL free agency!
With free agency being days away, Tom Brady is the biggest name on the market. Brady, who is 42 years old, is set to make the biggest decision of the off-season. He will decide if he wants to end his career with the most prestigious organization of today, or walk away from the only team he has ever played for.
This off-season there has been many rumblings about the star Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr. leaving the Broncos in free agency. A team that has stood out in the pursuit of Chris Harris is the Kansas City Chiefs. Star Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu has been a heavy recruiter for Harris.
Quarterback free agency! In today’s episode, Big Man Mike and Q start previewing NFL free agency start with the quarterback position. They go through the biggest names in QB free agency and predict where they will sign for 2020. They also give an analysis of the potential fantasy football impacts from their signings. When JJ Arcega Whiteside was drafted he was taken to eventually take the place of Alshon Jeffrey. He was listed as 6-2, 225 pounds and has a 80 inch wingspan. He was heralded for his ability to make tough 50/50 catches and good instincts to track passes. When injuries raided the Eagles WR group, Arcega-Whiteside had to step into a position he wasn’t even close to being prepared for, crossed trained at multiple positions under Carson Walch and as a result the comparisons of him and DK Metcalf, Terry McLaurin and even the WRs taken beforehand over him, it’s looks bad. The 22 and now 23 year old rookie struggle to find his rhythm in the offense only finishing the season with 10 catches for 169 yards and a TD. Very disappointing indeed but let’s call off the dogs and stop calling him a bust.
Combine time! In today’s show, Big Man Mike and Q discuss the 2020 NFL Combine. Today we discuss our risers and fallers for the quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and tight end positions. These are the guys that could end up winning you a fantasy championship but can their combine performance be enough for you to invest draft capital? After we discuss the combine we then jump into our 2020 dynasty fantasy football rankings discussing the wide receiver two’s.
