At the time of the 2019 NFL Draft the `consensus feeling of Giants fans and NFL spectators was confusion, disappointment and dread with the selection of Daniel Jones at the 6th pick in the 1st round. This distaste trickled down to the rest of the draft, although most fans came to feel hope and potential for the new Giants.
Daniel Jones’ start to his career has been book ended by a very-high high and a very-low low. He started off the season against Tampa Bay Buccaneers hitting on all cylinders with mobility, arm strength and pocket awareness and a stat line of 63.9% completion, 2 passing touchdowns, 2 rushing touchdowns, 336 passing yards and 112.7 passer rating. Recently, he threw 3 interceptions on very bad throws against Green Bay Packers and an apparent high ankle sprain. Let’s take a look at the in-between of these events.
Daniel Jones came out for the New York Giants and won a game nobody thought he would. He came out and won the game with out Golden Tate, and Saquon Barkley, who was injured in in Sunday’s game with a right ankle injury. We do not know the severity of the injury just yet, Saquon says he won’t be out long, but he is undergoing an MRI today.
