The Cleveland Browns placed a 2nd Round Tender on Kareem Hunt to keep him in Cleveland. Hunt has had 179 Rushing yards and 285 Receiving yards in 8 games with Cleveland last season, as well as leading the league in rushing in his rookie campaign with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Detroit Lions From Worst-To-First Part Two: Deep-Dive Mock Draft

In order to truly contend this year, the Lions need to draft as many impact players they can get their hands on. This means punting on potential developmental players that may have higher upside for the organization in the long run in order to acquire playmakers that can fill out the rest of the holes on the team. This is a deep-dive mock draft that gives the Lions their best shot at winning (in our opinion).

Call off the Dogs on the “Arcega-Whiteside is Bust” Campaign

When JJ Arcega Whiteside was drafted he was taken to eventually take the place of Alshon Jeffrey. He was listed as 6-2, 225 pounds and has a 80 inch wingspan. He was heralded for his ability to make tough 50/50 catches and good instincts to track passes. When injuries raided the Eagles WR group, Arcega-Whiteside had to step into a position he wasn’t even close to being prepared for, crossed trained at multiple positions under Carson Walch and as a result the comparisons of him and DK Metcalf, Terry McLaurin and even the WRs taken beforehand over him, it’s looks bad. The 22 and now 23 year old rookie struggle to find his rhythm in the offense only finishing the season with 10 catches for 169 yards and a TD. Very disappointing indeed but let’s call off the dogs and stop calling him a bust.

Roughnecks Sitting Pretty at Halfway Point of XFL Season

After five weeks in the XFL, the Houston Roughnecks are unmarked in the loss column. Lifelong fans have yet to feel the unwelcome sting of defeat as their squad continues to emerge unscathed week after week. Saturday’s game may not have been pretty, but the result has the league’s best team moving to week 6 unblemished.

How the D.C. Defenders went from a Top Tier Team to a Bottom Tier Team

The D.C Defenders started the XFL season as one of the hottest teams in the entire league. They played in the first game of the 2020 XFL season, taking on the Seattle Dragons. The Defenders were the first team to score in the XFL by making a field goal and then scored the first ever special teams touchdown by blocking a punt. The Defenders had a big second half an ended up winning the game 31 to 19.

2020 NFL Combine Over Reactions, Interesting Predictions & Totally Rational Suggestions

Since approximately 2011, I have religiously sat and watched the NFL Scouting Combine. Nearly every second of the constant coverage has been digested; from Bryon Jones jumping really far, CMC dominating like no-one ever has, Steve Smith, telling Tyree Jackson to stop throwing the ball so hard in the receiver drills, everyone freaking out over people running .4 of a second slower or faster, to at least one person every year getting hit in the face in the gauntlet drill.

XFL Power Rankings: Week 5

Josh Johnson and the Wildcats appeared to have all eyes in the football world on them after their drubbing of the Defenders. Unfortunately, that attention may have caused some stage fright as they lost to a lackluster Guardians offense. The offense was able to push the ball downfield, but came up short when they needed points the most. They had 4 drives in the second half that made it into their opponent’s territory and got only a single touchdown out of them.

The Battlehawks vs. The Defenders: Beasts Of The East!

Coming up on Sunday the St. Louis Battle Hawks will travel due east to the nations’ capital and face off against the Defenders in a contest for the division lead. I discussed the Battle Hawks’ successes and downfalls in the recap, however the Defenders’ Week 4 game against the Tampa Bay Vipers. Cardale Jones and Co. got shutout 25-0 after a QB switch on Tampa’s part, who put up 266 yards on the ground and only gave up 107 yards of total offense to the Defenders.
