The Chiefs (8-4) travel to England this Sunday to take on the current number two seed Patriots (10-2) in an AFC showdown that the league has been looking forward to ever since the AFC Championship last season. Both teams come into this match-up with different outcomes from the previous week. The Chiefs won their second game in a row dominating the Raiders 40-9 while the Patriots come off a poor performance against the Texans losing 28-22.

It was a feel good day for Bruce Arians and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a battle for Florida, as they rolled the Jacksonville Jaguars 28-11. Jameis Winston had a near flawless game, only losing a ball on a fumble created by a Ronald Jones blocking mishap. Todd Bowles led the defensive unit to a massive game, causing the Jaguars to change quarterbacks.
Last Sunday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-7) clinched a win over the Atlanta Falcons (3-8). Winston completed 18/28 throws for 313 yards and three touchdowns; one to Ronald Jones II and two to Chris Godwin.
When Adam Gase spoke to the media this summer he said “We’re going to play meaningful games in November and December.” Not many people bought into it, myself included. But with just five more weeks left in the regular season, we are finally witnessing the New York Jets team this offseason had promised, and Adam Gase’ late July assertion might hold some weight, however little it might be. This past Sunday Sam Darnold and the Jets showed up and showed out, with Darnold posting his third consecutive game of 3+ TD’s leading his team to victory over the Oakland Raiders 34-3, and earn their third straight victory. (Their longest win streak in two years)
After a very ugly loss on Sunday night the Packers will look to get back on track against a struggling Giants team. The Giants have been dealing with injuries on both sides of the ball for a big part of the season. Most notably this week they will be without Golden Tate and Evan Engram. Even though there has been a bunch of injuries and the Giants have been losing, Daniel Jones has been a bright spot for this young team. Jones in his last 5 games has 14 TDs and only 2 INTs. Very impressive stretch for the rookie.
82-14. That’s what the Ravens and 49ers point spread was against their opponents, the rams and packers, in week 12. Both teams just wrapped up huge victories against teams that were considered playoff contenders this year. Now the 49ers (10-1) are headed to Baltimore to take on the (9-2) Ravens on what is one of the most highly anticipated games for this season.
Continuing our fantasy awards season as we are one week out of playoffs, it’s time to take a look at the unexpected events of the year. Dual threat QBs have dominated, backups came in bunches and receivers have disappointed. Every season there are huge breakouts and huge fallouts. 2019 was probably one of the most wild seasons we have had in a while. So, let’s recongize the biggest shockers of the season.
Raiders vs Chiefs: Can the Chiefs Defense Stop the Raiders Run Game & Solidify Their Position as First in the West?
One of the biggest rivalries in NFL history takes place this Sunday at 3:25 CST between the Raiders (6-5) and the Chiefs (7-4) in Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs come into this game coming off a bye week where they were able to get extra rest, while the Raiders come off an embarrassing performance in New York against the Jets to the tune of 34-3.
It’s a bitter sweet week for us Vikings fans. We are fresh off a win, that we should be proud of but sadly we have to go 2 weeks without Vikings football. I believe it will be beneficial for the team as (hopefully) some of our players can heal up nicely. I know I definitely want Harrison Smith, Linval Joseph, and Adam Thielen back for their next game against Seattle.

The 49ers and Patriots have been playing at an elite level this year and are two of the best defenses in fantasy, but not everyone can have an elite defense on their team. Heading into the playoffs having a good DST could be the difference in making it past your opponent. As teams continue to fight for playoff contention there have been some DST that are coming on strong, and the schedule for some of the better DST’s in the first have of the year are getting tougher as the season goes on. So, who should you pick up to get you over the top in the playoffs?
The year was 2008, and all signs were pointing to perhaps yet another magical run for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Coming off of back to back playoff appearances in 2006 and 2007, the Buccaneers were off to a scorching start in the franchises 33rd year of existence, starting off with a record of 9-3 and were poised for a 1st place finish in the NFC South. Warrick Dunn was a Buccaneer again and life was good. The defense, still led by household names such as Ronde Barber and Derrick Brooks, held opposing offenses to accumulate less than 14 points in 6 of their first 12 games, which is almost unheard of in the NFL nowadays. Former Oakland Raider head coach, Lane Kiffin, who was fired midway through the 2008 season, was the hottest name on the market for big name colleges looking to fill a head coaching vacancy.
Jameis Winston threw four interceptions but still managed to throw two touchdowns to Chris Godwin and Peyton Barber. He completed 30/51 passes for 313 yards. He’s currently fourth for passing TD’s making him still a decent quarterback for Fantasy.
The Green Bay Packers (8-2) take on the San Francisco 49ers (9-1) at Levi’s Stadium. In this pivotal Prime Time Week 12 matchup, the Packers will need to win this game in order to have a chance at acquiring the Number 1 seed in the NFC. I have a gut feeling that George Kittle will be on the field for the 49ers as this is one of the most important games of the season thus far.
Every year some players seem to appear out of nowhere and become fantasy studs. Sometimes it is the start of a great career and fantasy production, but also some have a huge year and then seem to disappear as fast as they appeared. There have been some nice surprises this year, but what can the future hold?
