Seahawks in Free Agency: Who Fits in Seattle?

GM John Schneider is no stranger to making big acquisitions via free agency. His works include the signings of Michael Bennett, Cliff Avril, Jimmy Graham and a bevy of others that have contributed to the Seahawks in a major way. With an estimated 50.7M in cap space, and a roster full of immediate needs, one would like the chances of Schneider making a go at another splash signing this off-season. The Seahawks have already proven that they were just a play or two away from competing for it all, or at the very least, came within inches of shaking up the entire NFC Playoff picture against their division rivals, the San Francisco 49ers. As we all now know, the 49ers went on to play Super Bowl LIV.

Seahawks Mock Draft: Pundits picks

Among such teams, the Seattle Seahawks seemed to enjoy a bit of a “surprise” season, as many in the media have coined it, with many experts (and pundits alike) still viewing Seattle as being in its rebuilding years. Just don’t tell that Pete Carroll and John Schneider. The head coach and GM super-tandem have been at this for a decade now, compiling an impressive regular-season record of 100-59. What’s even more impressive is the team’s 8-4 record in the post-season in that same span, including 2 Super Bowl appearances and 1 Super Bowl win, Seattle’s first-ever NFL title. Earlier success of the team in the last decade was clearly due to one of the most imposing defenses in the history of football – the Legion of Boom.

NFC West – Fantasy Defenses Win Championships

Now I know what you’re thinking. DST is just a throw away position, they’re just a dime a dozen. However, I attest that every slot in your fantasy roster is important and needs attention so that you can build the best team you possibly can. If you don’t believe me, then don’t come crying to me when you lose by 5 points one week, because your throwaway defense gave up over 300 yards and 4 touchdowns. That’s not a threat it’s just a warning.
